I am currently involved as a PhD researcher under the supervision of Dr Lisa Ruhanen, Senior Lecturer (Tourism Cluster, UQBS). I am working on tourism governance in some of the protected areas in Bangladesh. This research is on the mid-stage and expected to finish by the end of 2016. Before this enrolment, I have done my second MSc in Forest and Nature Conservation Policy (Minor in Leisure, Tourism and Environment) from Wageningen University, the Netherlands. I have been serving (currently on study leave) as a faculty member (teacher) in Forestry & Wood Technology Discipline, Khulna University, Bangladesh. Beside this, I also served in Bangladesh Forest Department under the Ministry of Environment and Forests as an Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) for around 3 yrs. Moreover, I like to work as a Trainer to train multi-stakeholder on various issues of the forest and nature. I also work as a volunteer for conserving the nature and natural resources of Bangladesh. I have published several research articles in peer-reviewed journals, proceedings and reports. Travel and knowing new places around the world is one of my hobbies. I have visited some countries in Europe, America and Asia-Pacific regions such as Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Austria, Slovakia, Argentina, Thailand, Republic of Korea, India, Indonesia, Australia and so on due to different occasions like participating in congresses, conferences, seminars and trainings.
