Joseph Baladi is a PHD student and casual lecturer in Marketing at UQ Business School, The University of Queensland. Prior to this he was Adjunct Professor of Strategic Brand Management at Singapore Management University (SMU). He is the recipient of the prestigious Ron Frank Fellowship to read the MBA program at SMU. He graduated with Honors in 2012 and was listed on the Dean’s List.
Before embarking on his academic career he was a business and branding strategist managing multi-national brand consultancies across multiple geographies: from Melbourne to Mexico City; New York to Tokyo and most recently in Asia based in Singapore for over twenty years. Prior to moving to Asia, he held senior regional and global brand responsibilities as a Senior Vice President at DMB&B and McCann-Erickson Worldwide managing Procter & Gamble, MARS, Labatt Beers and Coca Cola.
He is a frequent speaker on the conference circuit, a regular guest on business television programs, and regularly contributes thought leadership articles to business magazines and newspapers - http://www.brandasian.com/thought_leadership/ . His newest book – The Brutal Truth About Asian Branding (WILEY) – was released worldwide in January 2012.
