    Alison Joubert is an Associate Lecturer and PhD candidate in Marketing at The University of Queensland. Alison graduated from The University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Business Management in Marketing and received Honours Class I. She was awarded an UQ Business School Honours Scholarship and an UQ Business School Thesis Publication Scheme Scholarship in her honours year, and an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) during her PhD. Alison is an active scholar within the Consumer Culture Theory (CCT) Community - having attended a seminars on Consumption, Markets and Culture Theorization at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey in 2015; on Qualitative Research Methods at Skema Business School in Lille, France in 2015; and on Cannon of the Classics at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense, Denmark in 2016. She has also been invited to participate in the CCT Qualitative Data Analysis seminar in Long Beach, California in July 2017. Key achievements in Alison’s research career include winning Best Poster Award at the 2016 Consumer Culture Theory Conference (CCTC) and Best Presentation Award for research presented at the UQBS Research Students Colloquium in 2013. Alison has also authored and co-authored a number of manuscripts accepted in the annual Australia and New Zealand Marketing Association Conferences (ANZMAC).
