Researcher biography

Dr. Adam A. Kay is a Senior Lecturer in Management at the UQ Business School. Prior to joining UQ, Adam was an international biotech manager, executive consultant and coach, and international investment treaty arbitration lawyer. An award-winning instructor, Adam teaches at all levels including undergraduate, Masters, MBA, and Executive Education. Adam's primary research interests include mindfulness, virtue ethics, justice, leadership, and corporate social responsibility. Adam's research has been published in leading journals such as the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes (OBHDP), Journal of Management Studies, The Leadership Quarterly, and Academy of Management Learning and Education (AMLE), among others, and in books by Oxford University Press, Routledge, and Guilford Press. Adam is currently Associate Editor at Journal of Business Research, serves on the Editorial Board of Journal of Vocational Behavior, and regularly reviews for outlets such as Journal of Management, OBHDP, and AMLE. Adam is passionate about making his research relevant and relatable to the general public, and to this end his work has been featured in media outlets like The Financial Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Vancouver Sun, The Conversation, The New Daily, Inside Small Business, HR Leader, HR Daily, and Times Higher Education.
