UQ Business School has partnered with Harvard Business Publishing (HBP) to give students across the School the opportunity to experience Harvard's renowned case teaching method.
Under the agreement, academics are able to access a wide range of teaching materials for use in classes.
As well as the classic, highly complex, integrated cases Harvard is famous for, UQ Business School will also have access to the new, shorter Brief Cases as well as multi-media cases, simulations, articles, and book chapters.
Director of UQ Business School Commercial Rob Douglas said the agreement with Harvard Business Publishing was great news for staff and students alike.
"The teaching materials produced by Harvard are widely acknowledged to be among the best in the world and now academic staff have easy access to those materials for use in their teaching," he said.
"With relevant materials for undergraduates, postgraduates, MBA students, research students, and corporate education clients, all our stakeholders stand to benefit from the partnership."
Harvard Business Publishing also distributes materials from other quality business schools - including IMD (Switzerland), IESE (Spain), INSEAD (France), Thunderbird (multiple international campuses) and Hong Kong University - ensuring that materials are global in context.
HBP Regional Sales Manager David Klinkienst said UQ Business School was the first in Australia to sign such an agreement.
He said, "UQ Business School now has access to all our materials and we hope the relationship will become reciprocal with UQ Business School generating materials for Harvard Business Publishing."
Harvard Business Publishing produces materials across all the business disciplines including: accounting & control, business & government, competitive strategy, entrepreneurship, finance, general management, human resource management, management information systems, marketing, negotiation, operations management, organisational behaviour & leadership, service management, and social enterprise and ethics.
