UQ Business School earns EQUIS re-accreditation

UQ Business School convincingly demonstrated its quality credentials last week by earning re-accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development for a further five years. The European foundation for Management Development (EFMD) has awarded EQUIS accreditation to only 117 business schools worldwide. Executive Dean Professor Tim Brailsford said UQ Business School was the first in Australia to earn accreditation by both the EFMD and the US equivalent the AACSB. "The School earned EQUIS accreditation in 2004 and so was due for reaccreditation this year," he said. "The process is an exhaustive analysis of the quality of our products and services - conducted by a team made up of three international business school deans and an international business leader." "The EFMD's standards are high and it is a challenge to continue to improve across all our activities in order to maintain our accreditation. "We are delighted with the outcome which clearly endorses our underlying strategy and supports our longer-term aspirations." UQ Business School holds both EQUIS and AACSB International accreditation and was ranked in Australia's top five business schools by the Economist Intelligence Unit's 2008 Which MBA? survey. UQ Business School's MBA has earned a five star rating - the highest possible - from the Graduate Management Association of Australia over the last four consecutive years.
