UQ Weekend of Startups
The IDEA Network and UQ IdeaHub will be hosting the first ever UQ Weekend of Startups on campus from the 7th to the 9th of October.
The UQ Weekend of start-ups is a weekend-long event where entrepreneurs, experts and builders come together for 54 hours to take an idea, form teams, validate and build a business, and pitch to industry-relevant judges. This event brings together start-up enthusiasts with different skill-sets and facilitates pitching of a business idea for a new start-up to create a prototype or working demo in teams of 3-7 members. The event will provide a platform for innovative, entrepreneurial students to come together and create a final product over the course of a weekend, present their product to industry relevant judges and investors and test potential real world applicability.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in entrepreneurship to create innovative products/services, learn about the start-up process and journey and network with some of the biggest names in the Brisbane start-up community! This fully catered event will take place at the Advanced Engineering Building. There are amazing prizes for the winning teams.
