INSIGHTS SEMINAR: Adapting to Climate Change in the Great Barrier Reef

25 June, 2014 - 12:00 to 13:00
GCI Seminar Room #275, Building 20

Presented by Dr Pedro Fidelman - CRN Research Fellow, Sustainability Research Centre, University of the Sunshine Coast. Adaptation is an important societal response to climate change, particularly in the Great Barrier Reef (GBR) where climate change impacts are already being experienced, and predicted to undermine its ability to deliver ecosystem goods and services.

In this seminar, Dr Fidelman explores how different sectors, namely federal, state and local governments, and the fishing and tourism industries pursue adaptation in the context of the GBR.
