Corporate Education Seminar

3 March, 2010 - 12:00 to 14:00
UQBS Downtown - Level 19, Central Plaza 1, 345 Queen Street, Brisbane, QLD 4000

Most reflection on the workplace up till now has been shaped by the social sciences, which by its nature is reactive rather than proactive. This has resulted in a growing attention to fields such as organisational behaviour, human resources, and management. We believe that a managers' own understanding and practice - and sense of meaningful engagement at work - can be enriched by drawing on resources from the philosophical tradition. Philosophy can help us to think more clearly, make more effective decisions and understand our own biases and prejudices.
