Profile:
Anne is a Professor of Financial Accounting and internationally recognised scholar in financial accounting research, with a specific focus on economic, accounting and valuation issues relating to technological innovation and intangible investment. Anne has a number of current interests including:
- Measurement and valuation issues relating to intangibles
- Technological innovation implications for accounting practice and quality
- Human capital economic and measurement issues
- Modeling pay-performance relations for company executives
- How financial analysts forecast earnings
- Performance hurdle issues relating to executive compensation contracts
- The use of stock options around initial public offerings
- Factors influencing analyst following decisions
- The association between the board of directors and the firm’s operational and risk characteristics
- Real earnings management measures and implications for long term investment and performance
