What's the big deal about the MBA?

Q: What's the big deal about the MBA?

A: Internationally, the MBA is seen as the flagship program for business schools. But a quality MBA program also tells you a lot about the quality of the School.

Independent ranking bodies like the Graduate Management Association of Australia (GMAA) and the Financial Review's Boss magazine ranking look at a range of indicators in assessing MBA quality including:

  • Quality of academic staff (including staff numbers, qualifications, diversity, and international and consulting experience)
  • Calibre and diversity of student body
  • Quality and range of services provided for students
  • Employment outcomes for graduates
  • Quality of the school's research output.

As you can see, all these measures are equally useful quality indicators for students interested in any of our degree programs.

The UQBS MBA currently holds the highest rating of five stars from the GMAA and is ranked equal first in Australia by Boss magazine.
