Field of Current Research

Title of Research Area Brief Description
E-Commerce and its application in Information Systems This research focuses on electronic commerce and its impact on various facets of Information Systems (IS) research. Traditional theories and methodologies of IS and related fields (organisational theories, marketing, and logistics) are applied to explain these internet-focused and firm-crossing systems. For example, the measurement of performance for electronic marketplace, analysis of e-commerce business models to the phases of an automated business process, and the definition of QFD-based assessment instrument for e-commerce reference models.
Change Management for Information Systems This research focuses on the permanent changes of information systems in firms and their influence on individuals and firms affected by these changes. Ongoing research on a macro level investigates the reasons firm experience to change the system. On the micro level, we analyse the implicit goals of IS users to clarify how strongly the users' goals influence adoption and use of changed systems.
