Brief Description |
| Electricity/Energy Research |
Modelling price/cost relationships in the electricity industry. This research models the supply costs of electricity supply by time of day, region, and customer classes using programming and regression techniques. This research keeps abreast of the latest developments in Australia's National Electricity Market and major electricity markets in North America and the European Union. Currently the modelling is being applied to the measurement of market power in electricity generation. |
| International Business/ Trade Research |
International business, including analyses of various international business and trade relationships. The research makes use of a range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies, including extensive use of simultaneous equation regression modelling. There has been some emphasis on Australia and other natural resource producers (including oil) and their inter-relationships with other parts of the world (for example the European Union countries). |
