The research activities of the Management Information Systems program include:

  • Evaluation of various process modelling techniques.
  • Empirical testing of results of analyses of leading enterprise interoperability standards.
  • Evaluation of the current level of maturity of process modelling techniques.
  • Specialisation of the BWW model for the BPM domain. Development of a widely-accepted methodology for ontological analysis.
  • Ontological analysis of the Web Ontology Language for the Semantic Web.
  • Ontological analysis of Knowledge Management.
  • Investigation of the impact of ontologically clear conceptual models on information retrieval in organisations.
