Koala to welcome guests to University of Queensland Business School

Industry experts and academics will be welcomed by a koala when they converge on University of Queensland Business School at the end of June.

More than 100 guests, many from the US , will attend the 15 th annual Frontiers in Service conference to be held at the St Lucia campus and the Business School's Downtown facility at Central Plaza One in Brisbane's central business district.

Conference co-chair Professor Janet McColl-Kennedy said she wanted to give participants a taste of the Australia they were expecting.

She said, "Everyone associates Australia with koalas and we're thrilled that local wildlife sanctuary Daisy Hill Koala Centre is able to bring a koala onto campus."

"They will present an educational talk and accept gold coin donations to support their wildlife conservation arm."

McColl-Kennedy said the cocktail welcome event on Thursday 29 June would feature an Australian menu.

She said, "Tourism Queensland CEO Ian Mitchell will officially launch the conference."
