Amit Sharma

Master of Business Administration

Amit completed his MBA Program in 2009. Graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, he has worked in the Steel Industry in India and the Middle East. Amit has been responsible for promoting, organising and coordinating activities within the BSPA and the UQ Business School. Amit also served as the principal liaison with the Business School, the Alumni Association and other organisations.

Ashwin Sreekumar

Master of Business Administration

Ashwin completed his MBA from The UQ Business School in 2007. He also has a Bachelors degree in Economics as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management. Prior to being President, Ashwin held the positions of Secretary and Vice President of the BSPA respectively. Before enrolling in the MBA program, he worked for a Top Fortune 500 Company in Marketing and Communications.

His achievements at The UQ Business School include the Dean's Commendation for Academic Performance as well as being awarded one of UQ Business School's Top MBA Awards, 'The Service to the Community Award' in 2007.

2006

David Tam

Master of Commerce

David completed a Master of Commerce, majoring in Professional Accounting, at UQ in 2007. He has represented UQ as a national finalist at the 2004 Higher Education Workplace Skills Olympiad; and was Finance Director for YAGEN Biotech, which successfully commercialised the U.V. Buddy wristband alerting wearers to potentially harmful levels of U.V. radiation. As at 2008 he will be working in Corporate Banking for one of the Big Four banks.

Grant Wong

Master of Commerce

Grant completed a Master of Commerce, majoring in Applied Finance, at UQ in 2006. Representing UQ, Grant had successfully competed at both national and international business competitions, achieving 1st place in the student category of 2002 UQ Business School's Enterprise Business Competition; placing 3rd in the 2004 U21 International Business Plan Competition Singapore; and achieving 1st place in the 2006 Boston Consulting Group Business Strategy Competition. As at 2007, Grant is working in the corporate finance division of a big-four accounting firm in Brisbane.

Sarah Davidson

Master of Business Administration

In 2005 Sarah received the Wilson HTM - MBA Director's Award for Academic Excellence and Leadership at the UQ Business School's Top MBA Awards. Sarah also captained the 2006 UQ Business School postgraduate team to a first place win in the prestigious national Boston Consulting Group Business Strategy Competition. In 2007 Sarah was awarded a 2008/2009 Vincent Fairfax Ethics in Leadership Fellowship.

Sarah is presently working as an International Business Development Manager in the not-for-profit sector. Her professional background has involved practice as a Solicitor and in-house legal counsel, running a successful direct marketing and sales business as well as experience as a strategic management consultant.
