President

Ehsan Alvi

Ehsan is currently in second year of his PhD in the area of Knowledge Management in organizations. His other interest areas are IT governance, information quality and business strategy.

Graduating with an electrical engineering and commerce degree he has worked in a broad spectrum of roles in a variety of organizations; small as well as large. He consults part time in IS and IT area and is currently working for Bullseye, a digital solution company as IS consultant.

Ehsan is responsible for the overall direction, planning and management of BSPA activities. He also looks after the industry relations and ensures that BSPA continues to serve as the premium social platform for all UQBS postgraduate students, and provides opportunities to learn from and interact with today's industry leaders.

Vice President

Amit Sharma

Amit Sharma is currently in his second semester of the MBA Program.

Graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, he has worked in the Steel Industry in India and the Middle East.

Amit is responsible for promoting, organizing and coordinating activities within the BSPA and the Business school. Also serving as the principal liaison with the Business School, the Alumni Association and
other organizations.

Secretary

Deandra Shamini

Deandra Shamini is currently pursuing the MBA Program.
In addition to being the BSPA Secretary, she is also a committee member of the MBA Council. Graduating with a degree in Network Engineering, she has worked as an Engineer and a Project Manager in her home country, and is currently a Database Manager for a local firm.

Deandra is responsible for all communications within the BSPA and will serve as a correspondent between the BSPA members and the Executive Committee. She will also be facilitating publication of the new BSPA yearbook.

Treasurer

Melissa Hilton

Melissa Anne Hilton is currently in the final semester of the Advanced Master Of Commerce Degree in Applied Finance and Professional Accounting. Prior to joining the UQ Business School, she completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Economics from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University, India. Melissa has been Secretary of the BSPA for the last year and shall continue as Treasurer for the coming semester.

Event Coordinator

David Gong

David Gong is currently pursuing an Advanced Masters of Business degree in Event Management. He is the BSPA's Events Coordinator.

Prior to studying at UQ, he worked as an International Volunteer
Programme Planner. With experience in the industry, he will be actively promoting BSPA's upcoming events.

Communications Officer

Angelina Wu

Angelina Wu is currently in her first semester of the Master of Commerce program.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Business English degree, she has worked in the Guangzhou TV in China as program designer.

Angelina will be assisting the Secretary with regards to the BSPA's internal communication. Additionally, she will also be responsible for the coverage of events for the BSPA yearbook.
