UQ Business School teachers are also actively engaged in consulting to business - so their industry experience is a current as last Tuesday.

Consulting is seen as core business at UQBS, so much so that we have established our own consulting arm UQ Business School Commercial. We also ensure senior staff contracts explicitly include a day per week for consulting.

Teaching at UQ Business School is also enriched by the School's commitment to research.

Our experts work at the cutting edge of knowledge in their disciplines - generating new knowledge for the world. That new knowledge is tested in the high pressure world of business consulting and then delivered fresh to our students - well before it makes its way into the public domain.

Our research reputation is also the price of entry to the kinds of international relationships and collaborations that will enrich your study experience.

Among our five star* teachers are:

Andrew Griffiths - one of just a handful of experts worldwide working in the area of corporate sustainability in the face of Climate Change

Janet McColl-Kennedy - a world authority on customer rage and its implications for service providers

Mark Dodgson - Australia's leading innovation researcher who was awarded a Eureka Prize for his work in innovation leadership

Renée Adams - one of Australia's few female professors working in finance with a resume that includes a stint at the US Federal Reserve

Ken Wiltshire - a leading commentator on public policy issues in Australia

Julie Walker - researching the complex issues around CEO remuneration

Fiona Rohde / Peter Green - leading researchers on management information systems

*UQBS was recently rated five stars (the highest possible score) for academic staff qualifications by the Good Universities Guide 2009.
