Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered for entry into the MBA program:

  • hold a graduate diploma in business administration with a GPA of 4.5; or hold an approved degree in a relevant field with a GPA of 4.5; and
  • have completed at least 3 years relevant work experience approved by the executive dean, including at least 1 year at supervisory/management level; and
  • international applicants complete the graduate management admission test (GMAT) with a minimum score of 550.

A student may be required to pass a qualifying examination in basic computing, written communication and basic mathematics and statistics before enrolment is approved.

English requirements

International applicants must also demonstrate one of the following English language proficiency requirements for entry to postgraduate coursework degree programs at UQ:

  • If the applicant's first language is English - demonstrate that they have graduated from a recognised degree program at an accredited university at which English is recognised as the primary language of instruction and assessment in the program undertaken.
  • If the applicant's first language is not English - demonstrate evidence of study in a recognised degree program undertaken for two years in the five years prior to commencement at UQ at an accredited university at which English is recognised as the primary medium of instruction (MOI) and assessment in the program undertaken.

  • Achieve at least 6.5 overall with no subscore less than 6.0 in the writing test of IELTS (or equivalent test).
