Technical program

The theme for the 2009 Conference is New knowledge ... for finance. The conference provides a forum for academics and practitioners to discuss recent events in the finance industry and present new ideas and research outcomes. We have 180 papers in the program.

Keynote presentations

A facilitated Forum Session with industry and academic panel members discussing "Australia as a Financial Centre". Chair: Deborah Ralston, Melbourne Centre for Financial Studies.

The social program will provide a chance for delegates to network with peers in a relaxing and enjoyable environment.

Vino's Restaurant & Bar Vie, Upper Level, Eagle Street Pier, Brisbane. Vino's is a short walk from the conference venue and has extraordinary views over Brisbane icons, the Brisbane River and the Story Bridge.
Delegates will enjoy an evening of fine dining and the opportunity to sample Australian wines.
Time to celebrate and relax with old and new friends.

Australian Outback Spectacular

Friday 3 July 2009 - Depart Brisbane Hilton at 5.00 pm. Return by 11.00pm.
Discover the Outback Spirit with Australian Outback Spectacular, an evening dinner show, filled with outback music, drama and action! Australian Outback Spectacular enthralls visitors with a unique and exciting evening experience in a performance that goes beyond traditional folk stories delivering a spectacular insight into the present day culture of outback Australia. The evening includes a sumptuous three-course Aussie BBQ dinner and drinks as well as a free Stockman's hat! Return transport from the Brisbane Hilton to the Spectacular is included.
Note: this event is not included in the registration fee, bookings are essential.
