Our outstanding intellectual capital is available to business, industry, government, and the professions through research partnerships and consulting agreements.
The School has a great track record for winning research grants from the Australian Research Council (ARC). The majority are Linkage Grants, awarded for projects undertaken with an industry partner, thus guaranteeing an applications focus to the research. The School also performs well in terms of winning prestigious ARC Discovery Grants.
Many of the School’s staff consult regularly to the corporate, government, and not-for-profit sectors.
Consulting is seen as core business within the School, so much so that UQ Business School Commercial was established in 2008 to create a one-stop-shop for consulting and contract research clients.
In 2009, a new focus for researchers, teachers, and practitioners working in corporate sustainability was established. The Sustainable Business Unit is let by world authority Professor Andrew Griffiths.
